Thomas J. Corigliano, 96, of Rome, passed away on August 3, 2018 in the Rome Memorial Hospital.

He was born on May 12, 1922 in Rome, the son of Gennaro and Catherine Candella Corigliano. On August 2, 1947 in St. John the Baptist Church he married Carmella Gizzo, a blessed union of 71 years. He attended Rome Schools and in 1942 he enlisted in the US Coast Guard and served during WW II being discharged in 1946.

He owned and operated Tom and Jerry’s Liquor Store for many years. He was an avid Bocce player.

Thomas is survived by his beloved family, his wife Carmella; a son Jerry Corigliano; a brother and sister-in-law Peter and Isabelle; sisters-in-law, Ann Corigliano and Catherine Corigliano and a brother-in-law, David Schillaci.

Funeral services under the direction of the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St. were private. There were no calling hours. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery.
