Edith P. Scaccia Page, 85, of Rome passed away on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in the Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 2, 1928 in Rome the daughter of Bernardino and Adelaide Galli Scaccia. On September 10, 1949 in St. John the Baptist Church she married Anthony "Buzz" Page who passed away on February 9, 2004. She attended Rome Schools. She greatly enjoyed going to the casino with her family. Edith is survived by her sister Jeanette Fumarola , two sisters-in-law, Rose Scaccia and Joanne Dellork and a special friend Peppi Grasso, all of Rome and several special nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three sisters, Angeline Carello, Josephine Trificana and Louise Scaccia, five brothers, Alfred, James, Anthony, Joseph and Silvio Scaccia. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 11:00 at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in the church vestibule from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Mass.There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
